By filtration cabin we mean the interior compartment in which all the pool's filtration equipment (pumps, filters, check valves, etc.) is installed.
For the correct operation of the system, it is generally recommended that the distance between the filter and the pool (if possible the deepest part) does not exceed 7-8 metres. In fact, if the gap is greater, a construction study should be carried out to assess the large volume capacity of the equipment for optimal operation.
Within the filter cabin we find two basic types; Site Booth, as its name suggests, is built on site, on the ground, adapting to the different conditions of each case (location, size, type of terrain, etc.).
And a prefabricated hut, previously built with certain standards and characteristics. The quality of this type of kiosk varies greatly depending on the materials used in its manufacture and their quality. Basically, it should be understood as a watertight chamber, preventing the entry of water, avoiding damage to the equipment installed in it.
However, as I said, there are infinite differences in the materials used between manufacturers, not only in the passenger compartment but also in the bonnet hinges, for example.
Currently, we can find three different types of prefabricated cabins:
- House sought: its location on the roof, on the ground, facilitating access through one or more doors.
- Emergency hut: huts with a part of its structure (box) located underground and another part (roof) of irregular shape, mainly to facilitate the installation and access to the access filters and other pond equipment. In this case, it is common to make huts that imitate the aesthetics of natural elements, such as stone or similar.
- The house below: The whole body is buried in the ground, except for the flat roof (It is recommended that this roof is always between 4 and 8 cm above the height of the floor to avoid the entry of water due to accumulations in the environment of the house. It is made of green coverings to hide in the natural environment or lawn.
Logically, its size will be determined by the size of the device to be placed inside it. However, in many cases, the possibility of having a very large cabin is very exciting, until it is possible to fit in the future devices such as salt processors, automatic dosers, UV system, several lateral rails, etc. In the cabin, without having to do the work. Nowadays, it is common for filtration chambers to be sold pre-installed, i.e. with pre-selected equipment according to the supplier. This is especially the case for direct sales to the end customer.
For professionals, there is also the possibility of purchasing an empty cabin and equipping it with one of the equipment or another depending on needs and preferences.
